Big Hearted People

In this newly-released children’s book, PHILANTHROPY…a big word for big-hearted people, mother and daughter, Jan and Rachel Helson, encourage young readers to make philanthropy a part of their lives. Their book is a fun-filled and emotional exploration of the word "PHILANTHROPYthat shares inspiring real-life stories of young, Big-Hearted People who have done amazing philanthropic acts. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book will go to support Blessings in a Backpack.

About the Authors

Rachel Annette Helson is a actor, writer, producer and philanthropist. She is a recent graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Rachel has worked both on and off Broadway as an actress and producer. In 2009, she became the youngest TONY nominated producer in Broadway history. She has raised over $100,000 for her philanthropic causes. Rachel currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Jan Helson  is a successful and innovative entrepreneur and a dedicated philanthropist who with her husband, Tim, has proudly raised two wonderful Big-Hearted kids to be the best they can be. Jan lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her family.
