Program Growth for Early 202

Blessings in a Backpack has added over 11,000 children to our program since fall semester 2010. Thanks to the contributions from our many supporters our program has grown 41% since our October 2010 report and 60% since this time last year. On a larger scale, when looking at year-over-year growth for the last two years, our combined efforts have been rewarded with a 242% increase. This means we are addressing the hunger needs of 26,000 more school children, our program model is working and continues to be quickly adopted by community leaders every week. Today, Blessings in a Backpack is collectively feeding nearly 57,000 children in 391 schools across 39 U.S. states and 3 countries. To see all U.S. locations visit our Program Locations page.

The beginning of this year has been busy opening new school programs and joining national events creating more fundraising, friendraising and publicity opportunities for Blessing in a Backpack. We continue to grow our online and social media community. We have over 6,500 eNews subscribers and just hit 8000 and counting Facebook followers. And we continue to process over 10 Adopt a School requests a week.

Our organization success is thanks to YOU, our CONTRIBUTORS. We are proud of the philanthropic outreach of each American who is standing up and taking charge, taking on the responsibility for our neighbor’s children, making sure that the students in our communities are well nourished and have the fuel they need to grow physically and academically – giving them every chance for future success.
