Roll out the red carpet for the charity concert of the summer! More than 500 guests, including celebrity and VIP, will rock out for a good cause at ‘ROCK THE BACKPACK.’
Hosted by funnymen Hal Sparks (VH1) and Oscar Nunez (The Office), with music by Supergroup and Rubix Kube (‘80s tribute band), ‘Rock the Backpack’ gives back to Blessings in a Backpack, a national organization that feeds hungry kids on the weekends, and Unbridled Eve Charitable Foundation.
“Sometimes kids get one meal a day, and it’s the meal they get in school. Blessings in a Backpack is helping feed kids in America on the weekends,” said Nunez. “We all need to do our part to end childhood hunger, and Blessings is a charity that’s leading the way.”
Blessings in a Backpack currently feeds 425 kids from three Greater LA schools on the weekends, but 640,000 kids qualify for the program. Money raised at this event will help add more kids to the Blessings LA programs.
“Let’s get this [Blessings in a Backpack] program to more kids here in our backyard,” said Nunez.
