Blessings Week 2020

Social Media Bingo

Looking for a simple and fun Instagram or Facebook fundraiser during Blessings Week and beyond? Our Bingo boards are the thing for you. Share the boards to your story, collect donations, and tag your donors in the story. Don’t forget to tag @blessingsinabackpack!

Once you fill the board or get a Bingo, download the funds from your Venmo account and donate the money to Blessings in a Backpack via the national website or your program/chapter website.

Bingo Boards: Option One

Steps:

  1. Share the 1st graphic to your Instagram story first. Share to your story!
  2. Share the 2nd graphic. Enter your Venmo handle as text after “Venmo me @” and click share!

After someone sends a donation via Venmo, make sure you update your Instagram story by sharing the 2nd graphic again, with the donor’s Instagram username over the amount they donated! Do this until you fill the board or get a Bingo.

To customize Option One Bingo Boards (right), click here to create a FREE Canva account. Then, click here to download the template. Select “Use Template.”

You’ll be able to change the dollar amount in the bingo squares, drag and drop a new photo, and add your program/chapter name to the call to action.

Bingo Boards: Option 2

Steps:

  1. Upload the 1st graphic to your Instagram story. Over the poll placeholder, you’ll want to go to the sticker button (located at the top once you select an image to add to your story) and add a poll. Place the poll over the poll holder. Adjust the “YES | NO” options to read “YES | MAKE IT $10.” Share to your story.
  2. Then share the 2nd graphic. Enter your Venmo handle as text after “Venmo me @” and click share!

An excellent way to follow up to ensure you get the donations from those who voted on your poll is to direct message (DM) them, thank them for their interest, ask them for their Venmo username, and how much they wish to donate. When they respond, you can request them on Venmo for the donation amount.

Once they complete the request, make sure you update your story by sharing the 2nd graphic with their Instagram username over the amount they donated! Do this until you fill the board or get a Bingo.

To customize Option Two Bingo Boards (right), click here to create a FREE Canva account. Then, click here to download the template. Select “Use Template.”

You’ll be able to change the dollar amount in the bingo squares, drag and drop a new photo, and add your program/chapter name to the call to action.

Other Ways to Fundraise Using Venmo:

You can go through your friend’s list on Venmo and request everyone $5! Make sure you indicate the purpose of the transaction request. Say something like, “Help me help Blessings in a Backpack feed hungry kids on the weekends. Please consider donating $5 for Blessings in a Backpack [program name, if applicable].”
