Our Future

With the start of the 2021/22 school year, Blessings in a Backpack is entering the first year of our three-year strategic plan. Our plan has us working towards providing 4 million hunger-free weekends (or bags of ready-to-eat food) annually for school-aged children by the end of the 2023/24 school year. Our three-year priorities include:

• Offer people and partners new, diverse ways to help close the weekend nutrition gap for children by sharing their time and talent. 
• Optimize and replicate growth strategies to feed more kids through our volunteer teams and our chapters.
• Continue to expand our national food solution to get the best food at the lowest price possible for our kids.
