Moms Bring Blessings in a Backpack to Newark
NEWARK — A group of Newark moms want to put a dent in hunger in their community. The women have joined forces to launch Blessings in a Backpack, a national program that provides elementary school children in need with a backpack of food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year.
