The Baltimore Orioles strike out hunger with Blessings in a Backpack

The Baltimore Orioles stepped up to the plate to strike out hunger!

On September 21, the Baltimore Orioles partnered with Blessings in a Backpack to pack 750 bags of food to feed the children on the weekends at the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore. Orioles players, Manager Brandon Hyde, and the coaching staff participated in the event, which the Orioles Charitable Foundation funds. Orioles players gave back to Blessings in a Backpack, and they won! Coincidence? We think not! Thanks to all the players and staff who helped pack bags that will feed more kids in the Baltimore area.

“It means a lot. This is stuff that I plan on bringing back to my hometown. Little things like this is awesome to me and mean the world to me. Just seeing underprivileged kids be able to have a smile on their face for just a small gesture is awesome.” – DL Hall, Orioles player
