Watch Your Pumpkin Fly Through the Air at The Great Pumpkin Drop in Marysville, Ohio

Wondering what to do with your pumpkins after Halloween?

If your pumpkins aren’t headed into the compost, you may want to consider watching them hurdle through the air. That’s right folks! You can watch your pumpkins drop from a 100-foot ladder truck courtesy of Marysville firefighters during The Great Pumpkin Drop.

You can bring your own pumpkin, as we mentioned, but if yours won’t make it until the event on November 7, don’t worry. You can always purchase a pumpkin for chucking at the event. Before your pumpkin is dropped, the firefighters will announce your name. In addition to the pumpkin tossing, there will also be bounce houses, delicious fall treats, and fire truck exploration.

All proceeds from the Great Pumpkin Drop will benefit Marysville Blessings in a Backpack, a program that launched in 2012 and is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal program and have little or no food on the weekends.

The Great Pumpkin Drop will go down on November 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marysville Fire Division, located at 16300 County Home Rd, Marysville, OH 43040. For more details about The Great Pumpkin Drop, please check out their Facebook event page.
