On November 30, the members of the Den, with assistance from their parents, helped assemble three hundred bags of food for the Blessings in a Backpack program that supports Eastridge, Ponderosa, and Highline Elementary Schools in Aurora as well as two schools in Lakewood; Deane and South Lakewood Elementary. The Cubs worked quickly to fill each bag for a needy student with kid-friendly foodstuffs to be taken home and consumed over the weekend when the students would not otherwise have access to the school meal program.

Total assemble time was less than one-hour, and the Cubs were able to use plastic grocery sacks that they had previously collected as part of a recycling project.
