Heaven Hill hosts Community Day, donates 650 backpacks to local students

In a powerful display of community spirit, more than 250 employees from Heaven Hill Brands rolled up their sleeves for a day of service, assembling 650 backpacks filled with essential school supplies and heartfelt notes of encouragement. The backpacks were donated to students in Louisville and Bardstown, including those supported by Blessings in a Backpack, Tri-County United Way and the United Way, here locally.

This meaningful initiative was part of Heaven Hill’s nationwide Community Day, in partnership with United Way chapters and local schools across multiple cities. The effort reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities where its employees live and work.

“Watching hundreds of Heaven Hill employees come together with such purpose and heart was truly inspiring. These backpacks are more than just supplies — they’re a message to each child that their community believes in them. Partnerships like this remind us what’s possible when people unite to give children a strong start to the school year,” said L.P. Brewer, who leads Heaven Hill’s community engagement programs.

Each backpack was assembled with care and compassion, complete with handwritten messages of encouragement for the students who will receive them — because every child deserves to start the school year with confidence.
