Giving Tuesday Now

Giving Tuesday Now

it has been quite a ride for Blessings in a Backpack over the past seven weeks. We, along with countless other organizations, have had to adjust to continue providing food to the vulnerable kids we feed.

In response to the efforts of nonprofits responding to the current public health emergency, #GivingTuesdayNow was created as a day of fundraising and recognition. If you have already supported us at some point in the past two months, thank you so much. We have made it this far only because of you.

We know that this is a difficult time for many right now. If you’re able, there are a few ways you can help on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

Race to the Match with Spartan Kids Foundation

Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Spartan Kids Foundation, any donation made on May 5, between 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET will be matched up to $1,500!

Spartan Kids Foundation strives to provide extraordinary experiences to underserved and challenged youth to promote active lifestyles. We think their mission aligns with ours since having regular access to food is also critical to a child’s health. That’s why we are so excited to have them as a partner today.

Check out these fun at-home activities from Spartan Kids Foundation that help keep kids healthy and active during COVID-19.

As a ‘Thank you’ for your support of Blessings in a Backpack on #GivingTuesdayNow, Spartan Kids Foundation is offering our donors complimentary passes to Spartan Kids races once social distancing measures have passed. Click here to see if there’s a Spartan Race near you in 2020.

*The link to claim the passes will be in the email you will receive after making a donation.
