ADM, one of the world’s largest nutrition companies, is a leader in human and animal nutrition. ADM unlocks the power of nature and transforms crops into ingredients and solutions for foods, beverages, and supplements for people worldwide and provides a complete range of solutions and services for livestock, aquaculture, and pets.

Blessings in a Backpack partnered with ADM Cares and the ADM Global Technologies team to pack 1,500 bags for children in the Northern Kentucky, Greater Cincinnati area over two days. The team set up 1,500 units each of six shelf-stable items to pack into logo drawstring bags, adding a personal touch with inspirational notes over the previous weeks on card stock to add to the bags for the children to take home. The ADM group worked as a team at the Northern Kentucky headquarters to learn more about childhood food insecurities, the Boys and Girls Club programs in the area, and to give back to the community.

Through the efforts of this event, ADM Cares provided 1,500 Hunger Free weekends to elementary-aged school children, circulated a QR code with a donation link to support the program further, and took it even a step further by providing a $10 donation for every hour of service to the organization for team member volunteer activities. “We had a lot of fun with this and hope it truly does help,” said Joan Schoenling of ADM.

Sydney Maxwell, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati, says, “We are so grateful to ADM for their generosity and support of our Club members. Witnessing the delight on their faces as they received their “Blessings in a Backpack” and the reassurance that they would have food for the weekend was truly a gift. We’re fortunate to have ADM in our community.”
