Lil’ Bolts are the MVP of LA Chargers Community Packing Event
Story by Rico Cabrera, Sr., eastlasportsscene.com.
The Los Angeles Chargers and their highly valued Impact Fund will once again make more community members smile happy when they set out for South Los Angeles on Tuesday, Sept. 12, to deliver 750 packaged nonperishable food/meal bags to students and families at the 122nd Street Elementary School, a member of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). This humanitarian-driven project, produced in coordination with the Chargers Impact Fund, is also partnered with the community-based organization Blessings in a Backpack.
On Sept. 5, in a significant and big preparation move for that event, Chargers Defensive Lineman/Sebastian Joseph-Day, Defensive back/Ja’Sir Taylor, Safety/JT Woods, along with teammates, Defensive Lineman,/CJ Okoye, and Linebacker/Tanner Muse, plus a contingent of Bolts Community Crew volunteers, and Blessings staff, packed 750 bags of non-perishable food items ready for distribution to elementary school students.
