Giving Tuesday: Thank you, Blessings Family!

We are incredibly grateful for our Blessings in a Backpack family—grateful for you! We set a Giving Tuesday goal of $200,00 this year. Because of your generous support, we surpassed it, raising more than $277,000—the single biggest fundraising day in the organization’s history!

A very special thanks to YOU for helping us make sure that hunger is not holding our kids back. And a big thank you to the D’Amico Family Fund who matched $75,000 of online donations made to Blessings in a Backpack on Giving Tuesday!

The past 21 months have been difficult for kids facing food insecurity. The instability during this time increased stress and made it harder for kids to be kids. Thankfully, because of the support we received this Giving Tuesday, we can continue to feed hungry kids across America and provide them a sense of security.

We also want to give a shout-out to KFC for donating $1 of every chicken sandwich sold on Giving Tuesday to Blessings in a Backpack. And thank you if you ate a chicken sandwich — we heard they sold out in some locations!

We also want to recognize Bel Brands for their generous donation of $20,000, to help feed children nationwide.

They say it takes a village to raise a child and feeding hungry kids is no different. We couldn’t do what we do without you. Again, thank you for being a part of the Blessings family.
