Jason Derulo’s ‘Just For You Foundation’ Hosts Backpack Build with Blessings in a Backpack + Vera Bradley

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building as megastar Jason Derulo hosted a 2,000-bag backpack build to benefit underprivileged kids in the Los Angeles area. He showed up to Vista Charter Middle School in Los Angeles to help 150 eighth-graders pack bags of food and school supplies on behalf of his ‘Just For You Foundation.’
The foundation was founded by Derulo in honor of his grandmother. It aims to raise money for education, shelter to orphans and families, feeding the homeless and much more!
“On behalf of the Just For You Foundation, I am grateful for the opportunity to support kids in the Los Angeles area. All students need foundation tools and supplies at every level of their education. I’m proud that our Foundation can spearhead the effort of providing backpacks, food, and core school supplies to 2,000 underserved kids. We appreciate the support of our generous partners greatly,” said Derulo of the event.
The event had the support of Vera Bradley, a luxury bag supplier, who provided 2,000 backpacks to the cause, while Blessings in a Backpack and Kids in Need Foundation donated food and school supplies.
The students and Derulo spent the morning assembling the backpacks. Some of them had received their own bag just a year ago and now they are passing the good deed forward!
