Growing Up Blessings: Jose Garcia
Most kids cannot wait for Friday afternoon — they crave that sense of freedom when school is out for the weekend!
For Jose Garcia, a current high school student and former Blessings participant, the most memorable part of his Friday evenings was the food he received.
“When I was at home, there were sometimes I didn’t have food…” Jose said.
“On Fridays when I received it [the Blessings food], I would just go home and eat whatever was in the blue bag.”
This gift of weekend food, which all started with YOUR generosity, made it easier for Jose and his family. Jose Garcia is one of the more than one million students that Blessings has reached in its fifteen years of service.
