Poor nutrition can result in a weaker immune system, increased hospitalization, lower IQ, shorter attention spans, and lower academic achievement.
Some children do not know where their next meal will come from when they are not at school.
Children are more likely to face food insecurity than any other group in the United States.

Instead of asking for candy, ask for small bills and loose change to help you feed a hungry kid on the weekends.
